For the past 30 years Dickinson and Bremen have participated in an exchange program. This program allows Dickinson students to study for a semester or year at the University of Bremen and in return, University of Bremen students\u00a0have the opportunity to\u00a0study at Dickinson College. Since its inception in 1985 when Matthias Ziegfeld became the first University of Bremen exchange student to attend Dickinson College, the program has grown measurably; over the past three decades more than 350 students from both institutions have benefited from this partnership. The exchange program between Dickinson College and the University of Bremen fosters a close bond\u00a0beween\u00a0students and faculty from both institutions.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Dickinson College President Nancy A. Roseman, along with several members of the Carlisle community and several Dickinson alumni, visited the University of Bremen this past June to celebrate the program&#8217;s\u00a030 year\u00a0anniversary, where they were met by current members of the program. During the celebration, President Roseman\u00a0adressed\u00a0the assembled guests and proudly spoke about the partnership&#8217;s success, noting that &#8220;the\u00a030 year\u00a0partnership has developed into a real friendship.&#8221; Dickinson College and the University of Bremen look forward\u00a0to\u00a0many more years of cooperation and friendship.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This past June Dickinson College proudly celebrated 30 years of cooperation and friendship in collaboration with the University of Bremen.
