Peter Bakowski<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>, tall when necessary, has been writing poetry for 37 years, remains influenced by the following quote, attributed to Robert Frost\u2014\u201cMake your next poem different from your last.\u201d In 2015, \u00c9ditions Bruno\u00a0<\/span>Doucey<\/span>\u00a0of Paris published a bilingual selection of his poetry, titled\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Le\u00a0<\/span>c\u0153ur<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u00e0 trois\u00a0<\/span><\/span>heures<\/span>\u00a0du matin<\/span><\/span><\/em>. In 2021 \u00c9ditions Bruno\u00a0<\/span>Doucey<\/span>\u00a0will publish a further bilingual selected, titled\u00a0<\/span><\/span>La\u00a0<\/span>saison<\/span>\u00a0du courage<\/span><\/span><\/em>. Edith Borchardt<\/span><\/b>,\u00a0<\/span>A.B. Vassar, Ph.D. from UC Berkeley, is Professor of German, Emerita (University of Minnesota Morris), where she taught all levels of German and literature courses from the Middle Ages to the present, including Austrian Studies, as well as study abroad courses in Italy, Austria, and Hungary. She has published numerous scholarly articles and three books,\u202f<\/span>Mythische\u202fStrukturen\u202fim\u202fWerk\u202fHeinrich von\u202fKleists<\/span><\/i>\u202f(1987),\u202f<\/span>Women in the Shadows<\/span><\/i>\u202f(2008), and\u202f<\/span>Rudolf. Gabriele Eckart<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>studied\u202fat the Humboldt University in Berlin (philosophy), University of Texas in San Antonio (Spanish), and University of Minnesota (German studies). Professor at the Department of Communication Studies and Modern Languages at Southeast Missouri State University. Scholarly books and articles on German culture and comparative literatures. Recent publications:\u202f<\/span>Vogtlandstimmen<\/span><\/i>, a novel,\u00a0and\u202f<\/span>Havelobst:\u202fErinnerungen<\/span><\/i>\u202f(both published by\u202fK\u00f6nigshausen\u202f& Neumann in 2021). Said El\u00a0Mtouni\u00a0<\/span><\/b>wurde 1979 in Ost Marokko geboren. Er studierte Islamwissenschaften und Germanistik in Freiburg i. Br., wo er 2013 im Fache Neuere\u00a0Deutsche\u00a0Literatur promovierte. Anschlie\u00dfend arbeitete er als Kulturvermittler und Translator f\u00fcr die\u00a0Deutsche\u00a0Botschaft in Rabat Marokko. Seit 2017 ist er Hochschullehrer f\u00fcr Deutsche Literatur an der\u00a0Universit\u00e9\u00a0Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah F\u00e8s. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind: Exilliteratur, Migrationsliteratur, Kulturwissenschaften, \u00dcbersetzung und Literatur nach 1945. El\u00a0Mtouni\u00a0ist au\u00dferdem \u00dcbersetzer und Dolmetscher f\u00fcr das Sprachenpaar Arabisch-Deutsch. In diesem Rahmen hat er u. a. die Lesereise des deutschen Autors Christoph Peters im Februar 2021 in F\u00e8s-Marokko moderiert.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Konrad\u00a0Feilchenfeldt<\/span><\/b>, (Jahrgang 1944) promovierte nach dem Studium in Hamburg und Z\u00fcrich mit einer Arbeit \u00fcber \u201eVarnhagen von Ense als Historiker\u201c (1970). Seine Universit\u00e4tskarriere begann er zuerst als Assistent f\u00fcr Neuere\u00a0Deutsche\u00a0Literaturwissenschaft in Trier, seit 1975 in M\u00fcnchen, und war seit 1980 Privatdozent und 1986 Professor; er wurde 2009 pensioniert. 1980\/81 vertrat er in T\u00fcbingen die Professuren von Richard Brinkmann und Jochen Schmidt, 1986 arbeitete er als\u00a0Visiting\u00a0Fellow\u00a0Commoner\u00a0des Trinity Colleges in Cambridge am Nachlass von Lord Robert Vansittart. Sein Forschungsschwerpunkt ist neben der deutschen Romantik die \u201aDeutschsprachige Exilliteratur seit 1933\u2019. Auf diesem Gebiet hat er zusammen mit John\u00a0Spalek\u00a0neun Studien-B\u00e4nde herausgegeben (1994-2010).<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sophia\u00a0Mehrbrey<\/span><\/b> schloss 2012 einen Bachelor in European Studies an der Universit\u00e4t Passau ab. Nach einem Master an der Universit\u00e4t Rouen im Fachbereich Lettres Modernes mit einer Arbeit zur Darstellung Russlands in franz\u00f6sischen Schriften des 18. Jahrhunderts trat sie dort 2014 eine Stelle als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an. 2019 wurde sie bei Prof. Dr. Claudine\u00a0Poulouin\u00a0promoviert (Titel der Arbeit:\u00a0Figures\u00a0d\u2019enfance\u00a0\u2013 la\u00a0repr\u00e9sentation\u00a0de\u00a0l\u2019enfant\u00a0dans\u00a0la\u00a0litt\u00e9rature\u00a0fran\u00e7aise\u00a0des\u00a0XVIIe\u00a0et\u00a0XVIIIe\u00a0si\u00e8cles).\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Seit Oktober 2019 ist sie als Postdoc im Graduiertenkolleg \u00bbEurop\u00e4ische Traumkulturen\u00ab besch\u00e4ftigt, wo sie zu kindlichen Traumnarrativen der europ\u00e4ischen Literatur des 19. Und 20. Jahrhunderts und zu Alpendarstellungen im 21. Jahrhundert forscht.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Michael Panitz\u00a0<\/span><\/b>specializes\u00a0in\u00a0Jewish\u00a0religious\u00a0history\u00a0during\u00a0the\u00a0modern\u00a0period, in Europe and\u00a0America.\u00a0<\/span>Receiving rabbinic ordination and a doctorate in history at the Jewish Theological Seminary, he has taught at universities in New York,\u00a0New Jersey\u00a0and Virginia.\u202f He is currently an adjunct professor of Religious Studies at Virginia Wesleyan University and serves as Rabbi of Temple Israel in Norfolk, Virginia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anna Rosmus<\/span><\/span><\/strong>, from Passau, Germany, is the author of fifteen books and the real-life heroine of the 1990 Verhoeven film \u201cThe Nasty Girl.\u201d For 40 years, she has documented xenophobia,\u00a0<\/span>anti-semitism<\/span>\u00a0and the complex lives of immigrants. Presented with numerous awards, including the American Society of Journalists and Authors\u2019 Conscience-in-Media Award, the\u00a0<\/span>Tucholsky<\/span>\u00a0death mask, and the Galinski Prize, the highest honor by the Jewish Community in Berlin, she was twice featured on CBS\u2019 \u201c60 Minutes\u201d and has been honored by the D.C. Eriberto\u00a0Russo\u00a0<\/span><\/b>hat 2018 an der Universit\u00e4t von Salerno (Italien) promoviert. Er ist derzeit verbeamteter DaF-Lehrer in der Sekundarschule und Lehrbeauftragter f\u00fcr deutsche Sprachwissenschaft an der Universit\u00e4t\u00a0<\/span>Suor\u00a0Orsola\u00a0Benincasa<\/span><\/i>\u00a0in Neapel.
