Modern-day students should be able to discuss\u00a0whether or not the charge of borrowing matters in this context.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Further Reading<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.masshist.org\/features\/massacre\/visual\" target=\"_blank\">Massacre Illustrated<\/a>\u00a0from the Massachusetts Historical Society offers a helpful and very succinct account of the illustration and the 1770 incident as part of an engaging online exhibition about the Boston Massacre, including some excellent materials on the 1770-71\u00a0trials of Captain Thomas Preston and others.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gilderlehrman.org\/history-by-era\/road-revolution\/resources\/paul-revere%E2%80%99s-engraving-boston-massacre-1770\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Revere&#8217;s Engraving<\/a> from the Gilder Lehrman Institute features an itemized list of propaganda elements in the illustration<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.john-adams-heritage.com\/boston-massacre-trials\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Boston Massacre Trials<\/a> from the John Adams Historical Society offers a useful summary of the various trials that occurred in the aftermath of the massacre and provides a transcript of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.john-adams-heritage.com\/summation-boston-massacre-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\">famous summation to the jury by John Adams<\/a>, which includes the stirring line, &#8220;Facts are stubborn things.&#8221; (December 4, 1770, Rex v.
