{"id":529,"date":"2015-02-04T23:53:10","date_gmt":"2015-02-04T23:53:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogsdev.dickinson.edu\/ideafund\/?p=529"},"modified":"2017-05-08T16:29:24","modified_gmt":"2017-05-08T20:29:24","slug":"a-new-direction-the-monthly-meetup-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.dickinson.edu\/ideafund\/2015\/02\/04\/a-new-direction-the-monthly-meetup-2\/","title":{"rendered":"A New Direction: The Monday Monthly Meet-up (MMM)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Brady Hummel \u201817<\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">Another semester has arrived, one that brings new, fresh, and exciting ideas for the Idea Fund.\u00a0 One of these is the new Monday Monthly Meet-Up (MMM) structure that has replaced the existing General Meeting structure in many different ways: instead of having weekly meetings every Wednesday night, the meetings will be held on a Monday night once a month to provide project updates, useful workshops, breakout sessions, and \u201cpassion presentations.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #888888;\">The new meeting structure was launched on January 26th, and was an overwhelming success; the room was buzzing with excitement, energy, and passion, and it set the tone for the rest of the semester. \u00a0Emcee Nick Bailey kept the energy high all evening, concluding with a presentation on the sharing economy around the world.
