One of the highlights of my first week here was exploring Osu Kannon and the shopping streets there. There’s so much to see you could probably spend an entire week just finding it all. I am a big fan of arcade games (especially vertical shooters and rhythm games, maybe fighters a little), and so when we stumbled across one it was like my calling. It’s hard to tell how much time passes in a place like that, as well as how many coins left my wallet, but if fun is had it is worthwhile. I will definitely be revisiting this place, even if it takes 10 000 yen I am always in the pursuit of perfection of these games.

It was a very eventful first week in japan!! On, I think, my second night here, I went to eat out at a sushi place. It was very intimidating, the menu was handwritten, and I didn’t understand a lot of the kanji. I went in anyways, stumbled through an order ( i got a standard array). I could watch the chef making the sushi right in front of me, and he would reach over the bar to put it right on the plate. Down the bar there were some friends catching up and it was fun to listen to the bits and pieces of japanese which I could understand. Mostly they were talking about their daughters and moving!
Anyways the sushi was great!! I had octopus with rise for the first time since I as five and I remembered how much I love it! It was super yummy and the best meal I have had so far while here!
