It is daunting to feel the responsibility of caring for our students\u2019 well-being in response to isolated world events, especially when those events don\u2019t fit easily into the framework of our classes, but it is equally difficult to forge ahead with lesson plans when we or our students are distracted, anxious, or angry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assistant Director of the Writing Program Lucy McInerney will provide participating faculty with useful strategies for helping students channel heightened emotions into the productive outlet of in-class journal writing.
