Chloe Miller, instructor for the 4th-5th\u00a0grade session, is a fourth year student at Dickinson College. She is an Archaeology\/Anthropology dual major who has taken four semesters of Latin with the department. She is the historian for Eta Sigma Phi, the Classics Honor Society, and has held other positions within the society such as social chair and vice president. Also, she has been the House Manager of the Classics House for the last two years. For a long time she has been working with children, including being a daycare teacher for older and younger school age children at her local YMCA and caretaker for several of her professors\u2019 children. Her future goals are to continue her archaeological research in Transylvania, Romania, attend graduate school, and establish herself in academia as an enthusiastic bioarchaeologist and professor.<\/p>\n

Joelle Cicak, instructor for the Kindergarten-2nd grade session, is a Junior Art & Art History Major, Classical Studies Minor at Dickinson College. \u00a0She has taken seven years of Latin throughout her high school and college career and loves to incorporate the myths, legends, and histories that she translates into her artwork. \u00a0This will be her second year teaching with the Latin Club at Dickinson College and she couldn’t be more excited to impart her love of the language on future generations.<\/p>\n

Lucy McInerney started taking Latin as a freshman in high school, never expecting it to become as important in her life as it has. Partly due to an outstanding teacher, partly due to her own love of mythology she stuck with Latin throughout high school; as a freshman at Dickinson Lucy decided to take one Latin course just to see what it was like. At the end of that semester she declared her major and have been happily studying Greek and Latin since then. Last year Lucy studied abroad at Oxford University and came back with a renewed interest in Virgil\u2019s Aeneid<\/em>, on which she is now writing her senior thesis.\u00a0She\u2019s had the opportunity to TA for Latin 101 for two years, as well as tutor Latin since her first year, and she\u2019s learned that teaching, whether one on one or in the class room, is an incredibly rewarding experience. Lucy is very much looking forward to teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in Latin Club this year and sharing her enthusiasm for the Latin language!<\/p>\n

Tyler Richey-Yowell, instructor for the 2nd and 3rd grade session, is a sophomore at Dickinson College. She\u00a0has been studying Latin since\u00a0the fourth grade.\u00a0While in high school,\u00a0Tyler took the AP Latin exam and was president of her high school Latin Club. Tyler likes to teach using games and activities rather than lecturing. She is very excited to be teaching Latin Club for her second year.<\/p>\n

Kevin Skowronski, instructor for the Kindergarten-2nd<\/sup> grade session, is a first-year student at Dickinson, who loves Latin and cannot wait to get started with this club! He has two younger sisters, and seven younger cousins, one of whom is in first grade right now; he loves working with kids. Kevin plans to be a teacher when he grows up and thinks that this will be an excellent learning experience for everyone involved!<\/p>\n
