Her most recent book is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.dickinson.edu\/marinin\/about\/books\/433-2\/\">A Very Seductive Body Politic: Silvio Berlusconi in Cinema<\/a>, a monograph on the cinematic representations of the notorious Italian politician.<em>\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0She is completing a monograph on left-wing terrorism in Italian film and theater. Her research project was granted the <a title=\"Andrew W. Mellon Regional Fellowship in the Humanities\" href=\"http:\/\/humanities.sas.upenn.edu\/fellowships\/regional-faculty-fellowships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Penn Humanities Forum Andrew W. Mellon Regional Faculty Fellowship<\/a> on the theme &#8220;Violence&#8221; for the year 2013\u20132014.<\/p>\n<p>Marini-Maio is the founding Editor of the peer-reviewed academic journal <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gendersexualityitaly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gender\/sexuality\/italy <\/a>, which publishes articles in English\u00a0and Italian,\u00a0and co-founder of the research group Culture and Politics of Gender. She is currently working on the constructions of femininity and masculinity with regards to power gender relations, patriarchy, and sexuality through the analysis of the Decamerotici, a series of Italian films produced in the 1970s and inspired by Boccaccio&#8217;s Decameron.\u00a0In addition, she is conducting research on\u00a0&#8220;Le Winx,&#8221; an international comic strip and video series for young girls created in Italy and broadcast worldwide. Her book, co-authored with Ellen Nerenberg, <em>Winxologia: Educare la futura consumista<\/em> is forthcoming from Rubbettino, Italy.<\/p>\n<p>She co-edited a critical translation of\u00a0<em><a title=\"Body of State\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.dickinson.edu\/marinin\/books\/141-2\/\">Corpo di stato<\/a><\/em>, by the Italian playwright Marco Baliani. She has published articles on Italian cinema and theater, Italian teaching pedagogy, and technology-enhanced language learning. In this areas, she has also co-edited two scholarly volumes: <em><a title=\"Set the Stage!\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.dickinson.edu\/marinin\/books\/set-the-stage\/\">Set the Stage!
