What do I do with my media center equipment?

As you know, the remainder of the semester is going to be conducted online to slow the spread of Covid-19. The media center wants to ensure all students, faculty and staff that they will NOT be charged late fees due to being unable to return equipment to the media center on time. All underclassmen away from campus, will be permitted to return borrowed items at the start of the Fall 2020 semester. For those on campus, equipment can be returned to a box in the department of public safety office.

Equipment Renewed

In light of the extended spring break, equipment due to the media center on Monday the 16th will be renewed until Monday the 23rd. If you have any questions please email the us at mediacenter@dickinson.edu

Spring Break Hours

Spring Break Media Center Hours

The media center will close at 5:00 on Friday March 6th. Over the break we will be closed on weekends and open weekdays from 8:30 to 4:30. Regular hours resume on Monday the 16th.

Have a safe and fun break!

Canon XA11

The Canon XA11 is a professional camcorder with XLR compatibility and 20X zoom. We recommend it for more in-depth projects as it is more complicated than our standard Canon R-30 and R-50 models.  We have four XA11 camcorders so contact the media center to reserve one.

XA11 Guide

To use one XLR microphone, the settings should look like this.
