Turning the Camera On<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Make sure the <strong>battery is charged<\/strong> and an <strong>SD card<\/strong> is inserted in the slot on the bottom of the camera near the battery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Press the <strong>Power<\/strong> button located on the side to turn on the camcorder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Checking the File Output Type<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The camcorder allows you to select your desired recording format before you start recording. The camcorder may be set to record as an .mp4 file. This is fine as long as what you&#8217;re recording is less than 30 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Planning to record something longer than 30 minutes? You&#8217;ll want to change the format to AVCHD so that your recording isn&#8217;t broken up into multiple files. Capturing Audio<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connect an external microphone if higher-quality audio is needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adjust audio levels in the menu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.
