Jews continuing to live in Europe during the rise of Antisemitism and eventually the reign of Adolph Hitler were met with far worse conditions than even the tenement living Jews of New York City.\u00a0 Jews in Europe were put into reception camps at the beginning of their roundup, but were soon moved to labor camps, and as time went on they were moved more and more to the death camps.\u00a0 The people of Poland and France that were not Jewish but were still persecuted by the Nazis did not commonly aid the Jews.\u00a0 Jews were even outed by long-time friends, neighbors, and even family members.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
