Echoing Woodrow Wilson\u2019s speech about why America should fight in WWI. Using rhetoric such as, \u201cThe Almighty God has blessed our land in many ways. He has given our people stout hearts and strong arms with which to strike mighty blows for freedom and truth.\u201d This leads back to Manifest Destiny and the \u201cGod-given\u201d right for Americans to expand the country from sea to shining sea. The previous line also shows the belief that the U.S. should fight for not only their liberty but the world\u2019s.
