{"id":919,"date":"2009-08-29T08:58:58","date_gmt":"2009-08-29T12:58:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.dickinson.edu\/norwichhumanities\/?p=919"},"modified":"2009-08-29T08:58:58","modified_gmt":"2009-08-29T12:58:58","slug":"theatre-london-and-new-insight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.dickinson.edu\/norwichhumanities\/2009\/08\/theatre-london-and-new-insight\/","title":{"rendered":"Theatre, London and New Insight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have to admit that I have not been to many plays in my life.\u00a0 As a matter of fact, the last play I remember attending was in middle school.\u00a0 If I recall correctly it was &#8220;Romeo and Juliet,&#8221; but I do not remember the performance at all.\u00a0 Fortunately, tonight we were able to see &#8220;Troilus and Cressida&#8221; in the Globe Theatre.\u00a0 At first, I was a bit apprehensive about standing for three hours and I am sure I wasn&#8217;t alone in that regard.\u00a0 Though that is what a &#8220;groundling&#8221; had to do and trying to recreate it makes The Globe historically accurate, I would have greatly appreciated a chair.\u00a0 Nevertheless, despite the lack of chairs and occasional rain, I thought the play was fantastic.<\/p>\n<p>Every actor did a phenomenal job, the music was incredible and the props were well created.\u00a0 There were too many humorous scenes to mention, but overall the way in which the play was done was amazing.\u00a0 In particular, I thought the fight scenes were very well done.\u00a0 I also enjoyed the drums at the end, which was very unexpected.
