Barnes Foundation<\/u><\/a>\u00a0 \u2013 application deadline February 1<\/p>\n

The Barnes Foundation is home to one of the world\u2019s greatest collections of European and American impressionist, post-impressionist and early modernist paintings. Summer internships run from the first week in June through the second week of August. Interns must commit to a minimum of eight consecutive weeks and two days per week, plus Friday evening programs. Interns at the Barnes may contribute in the following areas: Business Development; Collections and Exhibitions; Community, Youth, and Family Programs; Conservation; Development; Editorial; Education; Finance; Graphic Design; Human Resources; Legal; Marketing and Social Media; Public Programs; Public Relations; Registration; Retail.<\/p>\n

Open to undergraduates at any level. Internships are unpaid, but a select number of stipends are available.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Museum of Art<\/u><\/a>\u00a0 \u2013 application deadline January 31<\/p>\n

The Philadelphia Museum of Art is the largest comprehensive art museum in the Philadelphia area with global collections that span the ancient world to the present. Each summer, interns spend nine weeks at the museum, volunteering for 3\u00bd days each week in a specific department, while the remainder of the week is spent in a group colloquium,\u00a0including behind-the-scenes tours and discussions with various museum administrators and departments. Interns may be placed in the following departments: Business Administration; Collections Information; Conservation; Curatorial; Development; Editorial; Education; Finance; Human Resources; Information Technologies; Library and Archives; Marketing and Communications; Membership and Visitor Operations; Photography Studio; Protection Services; Registrar; Retail; Social Media; Special Events.<\/p>\n

Open to rising juniors, seniors and 2019 graduates with a minimum 3.0 average. Internships are unpaid, but a select number of stipends are available.<\/p>\n

The Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia (JASGP) is a private non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring mutual curiosity between Japan and Philadelphia. JASGP produces arts, business, and cultural programming, including the annual Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival as well as operating Shofuso, a historic Japanese house and garden located in West Fairmount Park.
