For over 30 years, Mural Arts has united artists and communities through a collaborative process, rooted in the traditions of mural-making, to create art that transforms public spaces and individual lives.\u00a0The nation\u2019s largest mural-arts program, Mural Arts engages communities in 60\u2013100 public art projects each year, and maintains its growing collection through a restoration initiative.<\/p>\n

Mural Arts is seeking dedicated individuals for the 2019 Summer Internship Program. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a professional muralist for a paid internship. This is a great learning experience for any artist and a way to gain solid mural-making skills. Become part of the team and contribute to Philadelphia\u2019s renaissance.<\/p>\n

The Clay Studio<\/u><\/strong>– rolling admissions, starting in January<\/p>\n

The Clay Studio inspires curiosity and discovery around the art and craft of clay, drawing together students, artists, and an engaged public into a welcoming community.\u00a0Our internship program is geared towards college students, recent ceramics graduates, as well as ceramic artists who are interested in teaching or furthering their ceramic education. The internship program provides students with experience in the nonprofit sector as part of a supportive educational community.<\/p>\n

Internships are available in the following areas: Summer Camp Teaching Assistant; Outreach (Claymobile); Education (classes and workshops); Gallery\/Shop (events, openings, First Fridays); Administrative Development (fundraising, social media, office). Summer camp interns should be prepared for a 2-4 week commitment, working either 15 or 30 hours per week, for a total of 60 hours. Interns for all other Clay Studio programs should be prepared to work five hours per week, one day a week during a 12-week term in fall, winter, spring, or summer, for a total of 60 hours. In exchange for their work, interns receive a free Clay Studio class, free access to Clay Studio workshops, access to open studio hours, an 18\u201d x 18\u201d x 18\u201d shelf space, and free access to all school glazes and firings.<\/p>\n

Fringe Arts<\/u><\/strong>\u2013 rolling deadline<\/p>\n

FringeArts in Philadelphia\u2019s home for contemporary performance, presenting progressive, world-class art that exposes audiences to genre-defying dance, theater, and music performances by accomplished and emerging innovators.<\/p>\n

FringeArts internships offer empirical training for students and emerging professionals from all academic and professional backgrounds whose career interests include performing and visual arts administration, arts production, and all facets of nonprofit administration and management.<\/p>\n

FringeArts interns support programming, marketing, development, event operations and more. Interns typically serve approximately 20 hours per week during regular office hours. Hours are flexible.
