Even if you are not currently enrolled in one of the courses below, please \u00a0feel free to join in our learning journey.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>History 107: Modern Europe Since 1789<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h4>This course will cover the late-eighteenth century to the present, and topically we will discuss politics, the role of the individual, social differentiation, science, philosophy, culture, nationality, gender, and more.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>History 204: Historical Methodology<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>This course is not a content course. We will be learning the process of how historians do what they do from finding source, to analyzing and contextualizing, to communicating those findings to a wider audience.<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>History 234: Interwar Europe<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Many of you will want to be studying the two world wars, but that is not what this course is about. View the very simplistic presentation I have created below to see how much richer this period is than just men in uniforms killing each other. This period saw great transformations in politics, culture, and science, just to name a few.<\/h4>\n<h4><a title=\"What our course is and is not\" href=\"http:\/\/prezi.com\/v9rnixgvq8e8\/?utm_campaign=share&amp;utm_medium=copy&amp;rc=ex0share\" target=\"_blank\">What can you expect from this course?<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>History 254: Russia: Quest for the Modern<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>We will begin our survey of modern Russia in the late-nineteenth century as the country was undergoing tremendous social and economic change. \u00a0We will pursue a thematic study of the attempts and failures to create a modern utopia.
