On February 4th, Simon Ciccarillo and Barrett Zeigler spoke at the U.S. Army War College to a session of a regional studies class focused on Russia. The two Russian major seniors had the opportunity to explain to and educate officers at the War College about their experiences during the Dickinson in Moscow study abroad program. Specifically, the presentation to the class was related to the mentality and points of views of Russians (particularly younger, civilian Russians) about the West, Western politics, and Western culture.
“I hope that the exchange is not only beneficial for good relations between Dickinson and the War College, but that even military officers might learn more about Russia and its people in a way that promotes understanding and interest,” said Simon Ciccarillo. Dickinson College, the Russian Department, and the U.S. Army War College have been working closely together recently for mutual education and utility.
