Russian and Earth Sciences major Billy Irving ’19 has just been awarded a prestigious Critical Language Scholarship to study Bahasa Indonesian in Malang, Indonesia during summer 2019. Billy studied abroad in Moscow during the fall of his junior year and is currently working with Prof. Alyssa DeBlasio on a research project about Russia’s first volcanologist.
