Learn. Engage. Get Your Hands Dirty.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Seeding the Future includes opportunities for networking, workshops, presentations, and keynote lectures on a variety of topics. \u00a0The conference is arranged into four “tracks” which will allow you to tailor your experience to the topics best suited to your program needs and interests. \u00a0All four tracks are designed for faculty, staff, student, and community participation.<\/p>\n

The Friday afternoon sessions will be held at the College Farm, and focus on hands-on skills and highlights of best-practices from our 180 acre working farm. Saturday sessions will be held on the Dickinson main campus, and feature a variety of interactive,\u00a0presentation, and panel discussions for the leaders in college farming, dining, and sustainable community building from around the U.S.<\/p>\n

You may chose to follow one track to follow throughout the conference, or attend different sessions during each slot – the choice is up to you!<\/p>\n

Poster Session<\/a><\/strong>: Your Chance to Present<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Students, faculty, and college farm workers who are engaged in connecting college farms and gardens and have their ideas to share about best practices, new innovations, or connecting to the curriculum, are invited to submit abstracts to present their work in the Poster Session, held Friday 14, 2011 at 5:00 pm.<\/p>\n

Chickens (and eggs!) can be incorporated into a holistic farming approach<\/p><\/div>\n

Saturday October 15th, 2011:<\/span><\/strong> A full day of workshops,\u00a0presentations, and events, including a family-style lunch and discussion, and the keynote speaker.\u00a0Conference activities will close at 5:00 pm \u00a0to be followed by a Twilight Tour of the Dickinson College Organic Farm which will end at 6:00 pm.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n
