On September 15th, students of the Casa Luso-Hispana enjoyed a visit by Spanish writer Alfonso Ruiz de Aguirre, winner of many literary awards, including the prestigious Premio Literario Felipe Trigo. A teacher of many years, Professor Ruiz de Aguirre spoke to students about fundamental differences in the U.S. and Spanish educational systems as well as shared struggles and achievements. Students were able to add their observations and perspectives from study abroad in multiple countries to the conversation.
