Senior Olivia Lowden is doing an independent study this spring with Professor Asunción Arnedo-Aldrich entitled Providing Healthcare to Spanish-Speaking Immigrants in Central PA. This Spanish 500 class focuses on the challenges that migrant workers face when they leave their homes to work in Pennsylvania’s farm country. On Monday, February 18th, Professor Arnedo accompanied Lowden to WellSpan Health and to the Keystone State Migrant Health Program to conduct interviews about healthcare and community aid for farmworkers in the area.
