On Tuesday, April 2nd, Professor José-Damian Ruiz-Sinoga gave a speech entitled Soil Degradation as an Indicator of Global Change at the Anita Turin Schlechter Auditorium at Dickinson. This talk was organized by the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues and was sponsored by a Civic Learning and Engagement Initiative Grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, along with several departments at Dickinson. Professor Ruiz-Sinoga talked about soil degradation in the Mediterranean region and how it will affect our lives moving forward. Ruiz-Sinoga is a professor of physical geography and head researcher of the Physical Geography and Landscape research group in Málaga.
