For the first time in Bosler Share Fair history, the Department of Spanish & Portuguese had a talented team of OSAs and a Fulbright TA present to the audience.
Spanish OSAs Aida Cordón García and Natalia Arjona Martín (from Spain), along with Emilia Kark Verstraete (Argentina), presented a variety of games and activities ideal for fostering conversational practice for students of different levels during language table sessions. One of the games was quite competitive!
Portuguese FLTA Raul Leme Medeiros, (from Brazil), shared strategies for helping language students practice their knowledge of vocabulary related to colors, as well as determine which group would present in class. Both activities have the additional benefit of helping keep students alert during early-morning classes!
Both presentations were well-received by an enthusiastic crowd of faculty and staff. We are grateful to our student assistants for their efforts, energy, and enthusiasm!
