On Thursday, March 30th, the Department of Spanish and Portuguese gathered in the Stern Great Room to induct 14 new members into Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society. The society recognizes Spanish majors, as well as overseas language assistants, who demonstrate excellence in the study of Spanish language, literature, and culture.
Professor DeLutis-Eichenberger planned and led the induction. New inductees included Yeslie Barrios, Amanda Bucknam, Eliza Cote, Georgia Dahm, Kay Davis-Lorton, Kady Freedman, Christian Gonzalez, Estrella Monson, Melissa Patino-Martinez, Emerlee Simons, Selena Yang, Laura Gomez Herrera, Soledad Guerrero Gonzales, and Ariadna Fajner Correa. 2022 inductees Carrie Ann Becher, Charlotte Goodman, and Doxey Loupassi were also present at the ceremony.
