Beatriz Quintero, retired instructor of Spanish at Dickinson College, gave a presentation on April 11 to Professor Mariana Past’s Spanish 351 class on the impact of hurricanes Irma and Maria in Puerto Rico. She also engaged students in a discussion of a poem by Fortunato Vizcarrondo, which critiqued hierarchies of racial categories on the island.
