David Swenson is a double major in Music and International Studies with a minor in Spanish who was also awarded a Fulbright scholarship to Spain during the month of March. During his junior year, Swenson studied abroad in South America and now looks forward to immersing himself in a new Spanish-speaking culture. He comments, “I am very excited to announce that I have accepted a scholarship on behalf of the U.S.-Spain Fulbright commission to be an English Teaching Assistant (ETA) this fall in Spain! I will be traveling to Galicia in the northwest of the country and will spend the entire 2019-2020 academic year there. As of now, I have not been notified of my placement within the region, but I should hear back from the Commission by the end of the month.”
