On Thursday, April 1, nine new members were inducted into Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society. This year, the ceremony was held remotely for the second time. Honor society advisor, Prof. Angela DeLutis-Eichenberger conducted the online ceremony. As part of the induction ceremony each student received a red candle that was then lit and later extinguished – all done virtually, of course. Both actions carry a symbolic meaning. The inductees were also awarded a certificate and pin bearing the royal seal of Fernando and Isabel.
Students inducted were:
Alaina Clemence, Rose Lang Zalph, Christine Marsh, Ana Matovic, Julienne McClure, Ellen McInnes, Annie Pendleton, Olivia Statile and Maia Uphoff
