In celebration of\u00a0<b>Hispanic Heritage Month<\/b>, this event celebrates one of the lesser known parts of our library collection, a group of rare cookbooks from Spain, Mexico, Brazil, and other parts of Latin America.<\/p>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Philippe de Montebello, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, is joined by Professor Mark Aldrich, Associate Professor of Spanish at Dickinson College and Executive Director of the Clarke Forum for Contemporary Issues. Professor Aldrich will first share a video tutorial of how to make the popular Spanish rice dish Paella. They will discuss the recipe, which he has adapted from a cookbook from the Hispanic Society\u2019s collection and explore the history of Paella and Professor Aldrich\u2019s passion for making it. He is particularly interested in 20th century Spanish poetry, although his publications include both Peninsular and Spanish American subjects. He has published literary translations and will soon complete the translation of a novel by Spanish author Antonio Soler.
