Dickinson\u2019s chapter began in 1962 and since then many Dickinsonians have joined SDP. As part of the induction ceremony, each inductee received a red candle that they lit and later blew out. Both actions carried symbolic meaning. Additionally, the inductees were awarded a certificate and a pin bearing the royal seal of Fernando and Isabel.
