He said that since the field war ended long ago, there is only one period of trench service left for the cavalry and in addition the new artillery units need horses. Therefore it has been decided to reduce the cavalry regiment staff and form new infantry divisions\u2014rifle regiments, to be precise. They are sure that Her Majesty\u2019s Hussars will be at the height of their position in this service new to them and will not allow any reproach to be cast on the regiment with their behavior. They say that up to 20\u201330 officers must go.
