I was delayed because of a spy, who turned out to be a German who spoke good Russian. The Provisional Government, having discharged the emigrants, had among them a large percentage of German spies with fake documents. Then I was delayed because of my brother. He is still mad, and I asked to enlist him in the reserve so that he might take off his regimental uniform.
