Her Majesty the Empress sent the officers of the regiment a pound of chocolate and 10 cigarettes each.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And thus I have finished rewriting my adventures from that October. I am now far away from my homeland, on observation duty at the volcano Krakatau. It is as if I have lifted a veil that has concealed a distant and sweet time in my past. Now it is June 1928.
