Our squadron was on reserve, relaxing after reconnaissance. At around 3 pm it came to our attention that the Germans had overtaken us and we hastily headed to the city of Warta, where parts of the First Army Corps were located. We stayed in a cozy cabin and I was even able to wash up in a tub at\u00a0the psychiatric hospital near the Catholic monastery.
