It took us one and a half hours to get across. It was very dangerous because of the ice flow. The horses were very anxious. I ate a bun in Chervinsk and then continued on to the large village of Rembowo, to the north of Vyshgorod. This is where the headquarters of the Vyshegradsky brigade was located.<\/p>\n<p>This brigade was under the command of first-rank Battalion captain Polushkin. It is hard to imagine a more motley brigade. They were entrusted with the task of protecting the bank of the Visla above Vyshgorod. Our position on this bank is far to the west toward P\u0142ock.
