Everything was calm. In the morning the squadron was called back to the regiment, and I, traveling with 12 horses, was left for observation. Twice I went to attack the German patrols, but they did not accept the attack and retreated. Yesterday we lost 12 people in the 2nd Squadron and 30 in the regiment. For the first time in 4 days I went to bed, taking off my boots.<\/p>\n<p>PS. Regarding years long past. At that time I wrote the diary mainly for myself. Therefore, there is a lot about myself but very little about others. All this should have been stated by the regimental adjutant, but the revolution destroyed all the documents that were valuable to the regiment.
