One day every year we get to celebrate our very existence in a world of rapidly changing technologies and over produced Top 40 hits. College Radio Day is the day everyone should take a little extra time to appreciate this unique and free entertainment outlet.<\/p>\n

We play the music that others overlook\u00a0or wouldn’t even consider because they are under-appreciated independent artists on tiny labels. \u00a0Often, those artists have gone on to become the giant acts that sell out venue after venue but you heard them first on college radio.\u00a0We bring you shows like Democracy Now!<\/a> that give an in depth look at news from\u00a0across the globe and connects you with the people fighting for democracy everywhere. \u00a0We give students the chance to find their voice and connect directly with people outside of the borders of Dickinson College. \u00a0Our programming stays diverse by intentionally mixing student produced shows along side community djs and syndicated programming.<\/p>\n

We are always striving to do better, find better shows, connect with the community in fun and meaningful\u00a0ways, and be the Voice of not only Dickinson College but the greater Carlisle community. \u00a0If you listen to College radio and like what you hear, give a call to the DJ (245-1444) and tell them they are doing a good job. \u00a0We love to know that someone out there is listening. \u00a0If you have an idea, a gripe or just a comment feel free to email us at wdcvfm@gmail.com. \u00a0We have been around for over 50 years and we aren’t planning on going anywhere (except a more visible\u00a0location in the HUB would be much appreciated!)<\/p>\n
