Welcome to the Butcher Family Tot Lot! According to the property deed, the lot contains .522 acres originally owned by Alice Butcher. At the time of Butcher’s death in 1963, the lot fell into the hands of Farmer’s Trust Company in Carlisle who then sold it to the Borough of Carlisle for $1,500. Since then, the lot has been transformed into a park with a playground for children; and includes a wayside marker, solidifying its importance in Carlisle town history.
