This is a short experimental documentary featuring two young women coping with their inner and external journeys. Both girls travel abroad for an extended period of time and have similarly contradictory experiences in intellectual and emotional terms. Experimental techniques dramatize the two girls’ ambivalent feelings, both from an aesthetic and conceptual point of view. Indoor and outdoor shots, sound recorded on location and in post-production, professional and natural lighting, and extensive post-production work. Archer Smith and Jamie Sweeney, respectively, a film studies minor and major at Dickinson College, helped with the shooting of the dance scene.
