Grace Ingle briefs Dickinson Faculty and Students on Summer Program at the American University in Cairo

On November 14, 2019 Arabic Club President and Middle East Studies (MEST) major Grace Ingle briefed students and faculty on her experience attending a course on Islamic law and Arabic Language and Culture at the American University in Cairo (AUC), Egypt in summer 2019.  All enjoyed pizza and refreshments while learning about Grace’s amazing journey, thanks to her perseverance in pursuing Arabic and area studies at Dickinson which, in turn, enabled her to attend this intensive 4-week program.   Grace spoke eloquently of her newly-gained knowledge (of the subject matter and of Egyptian ways and treasures), of  her classmates at AUC over the summer (mostly graduate students from literally around the globe!), and of her plans to study law after graduation in May 2020.   Onward and upward Grace Inshallah 🙂    Here are some pictures of Grace in Egypt with the Pyramids and with our former Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant Doha Ahmad, and also on the day of her presentation with MEST Coordinator Professor David Commins, Mohammad Abu Shuleh and Magda Siekert (MEST and Arabic) and fellow senior Aya Salim
