Lucky

This is lucky! She’s a 1 year old, yellow English Labrador. But first, here’s the story of how we got her…

After healing from suddenly loosing a 5 month old puppy to a rare disease, our family knew that we were ready to bring another dog into our home. We all piled into the car and drove to Culpepper, VA to where the breeder was. As we pulled in, all the dogs started barking. The breeder, Ann, took us into a room where the puppies were. We had the first pick of the litter, so there were 6 yellow lab puppies surrounding us, hoping we would choose them. There was one, specifically, that stood out to us. She wasn’t too crazy, and she went right up to my mom, and rested her head on my moms leg. That one was lucky. After choosing her and filling out some paperwork, we all went back into the car and drove home; the place Lucky would soon call home, too.

  1. Thanks for sharing about your loss. Its always hard to share personal stories where we have lost loved ones. Our family lost our sweet and brilliant, yellow English lab earlier this year. He made it through some challenging times and we tried to make him as comfortable as possible during his final year with us. He was 13 years old when he passed and had experienced much throughout his life. What a joy he was! Seeing your new “Lucky” brought back those memories of our wonderful boy, Ohcum. I am very excited for you that you now have a new puppy to spoil rotten. Lucky is indeed a lucky pup and an adorable one at that!
