Sylvester B. Sadler:

On September 29, 1876,  Sylvester Sadler was born in Carlisle. He attended Dickinson College   before, like his older brother Lewis, transferring to Yale. In 1896 Sadler returned to Carlisle to attend the Dickinson School of law and later, upon graduating, became a member of the Law school’s  faculty. In 1911 Sylvester moved in with his brother Lewis in their newly built estate “Thornwald” mansion(1).
