1/31 Blog with UAE students

With students that are in Carlisle and UAE we all talked about our homes and whether they are similar and different in the environmental and universal aspects. I live in Chester Springs, PA which is about 40 minutes outside of the city of Philadelphia. In my home town, we are very environmentally aware. In doing so there are board meetings on how we can become more environmentally conscious, and we include many parks and recreation sites along with this amazing lake right near my house. Culturally, my hometown is not very diverse compared to a UAE student who lives in Dubia.

In Dubia they are very aware of the environment due to their city and its production of emissions and such. They also make efforts to include and create nature trails and parks. They culture is Dubia is different and diverse, such as greetings, but they are very expecting and gracious with diverent types of cultures.

Another student who goes to Dickinson has lived in Carlisle his whole life. He said Carlisle pulls a lot of different people and cultures, such as the war college, which creates a diverse dynamic that is very accepting. Carlisle offers many different trails and environmetal aspects along with the Dickinson College.

It was very interesting to hear the different types of views and ideas students have from various places, whehter they were close to each other or very far from each other.
