Furla is an internationally renowned Italian luxury good company. Originally created by Aldo and Margherita Furlanetto in Bologna in 1927, the company is still owned by the Furlanetto family. Furla is famous for the high quality and style of its products, which are designed and assembled following Italian traditional techniques and expert craftsmanship. Today, Furla is a global company with headquarters in Bologna, Milan, New York City, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Moscow, and Shangai, and 444 flagship stores and 1,600 points of sales worldwide. Jianna Boswell & Kelyali Infante-Cruz, students of Dickinson Wears Prada, wanted to explore the Fondazione Furla (Furla Foundation) as their case study for the course final project. They raise some questions about the accessibility and goals of the foundation. You can find their report here: “Furla: Community Outreach, Transparency, and Its Financial Setbacks” (or click on their students’ projects link on the right column).
