German Language Table at the Dickinson College Farm

On October 8, 2019 the German Table changed locations for an evening of German food and conversation in a beautiful outdoor setting. The Dickinson College Farm staff helped host about 25 students and faculty. Students made the two famous forms of potato salad (mayonnaise- or vinegar-based) and enjoyed them with bratwurst and Apfelshorle (a mix of seltzer and apple juice). Dessert was S’Mores vs. Stockbrot (stick bread). Stockbrot is a slightly sweet dough that one wraps around a stick to bake over the fire. It was a challenge to survive the heat of our bonfire trying to get our bread and marshmallows roasted!
