This website project details the progress of my 2018-2019 Dickinson College history honors thesis on James Miller McKim and Civil War Abolitionism. My study will map McKim’s role in abolition and reconstruction from 1859 to 1869 to address the gap in scholarship on McKim and other abolitionists during and directly following the Civil War.
