Introduction
Hi! I’m Alex and I currently am a first-year student at Dickinson. I’m a Political Science major with a Religious Studies minor and also enjoy studying History (especially African and Asian history), German, and Sociology. I plan to become a Medical Malpractice lawyer in the future.
I use they/them pronouns and come from a small town in Pennsylvania. Besides academia, I enjoy impressionistic painting, reading, writing, being out in nature (especially near water), and being with my friends (and their cats).
I am incredibly excited about this exchange, so I can be able to map the world in not only a way that reflects my experiences as a white person growing up in the United States. I hope this blog will help me address more of my blindspots when it comes to international relations and the UAE- I hope to get the most well-rounded view possible.
