The Media Center is Dickinson’s hub for collaboration, creativity, and hands-on making. Whether you’re working on a class assignment, exploring a personal interest, or launching a passion project, we provide the space, tools, and support to help your ideas come to life. Through our free equipment lending program, you can check out everything you need for audio and video projects – cameras, microphones, lighting, and more – with no cost and no hassle.
Looking to build something tangible? The Makery offers access to 3D printers, a laser cutter/engraver, and a full range of basic tools for creating, prototyping, or even fixing everyday items. Our sewing corner gives you a welcoming space and supplies to mend clothes, craft materials for a course project, or design anything from pajama pants to your next Halloween costume.
Need a place to record? Our podcast nooks provide quiet, comfortable spaces for capturing high-quality audio – perfect for presentations, interviews, music, or the podcast you’ve always wanted to start. The Studio takes things a step further, giving campus bands and musicians a professional environment to record and produce tracks ready for release.
And when you just want to relax and recharge, The Room is your go-to spot for a laid-back space to spin vinyl, play games, meet with friends, or brainstorm your future goals.
From imagining to creating to sharing with the world, the Media Center in the basement of Bosler Hall is here to help you make something great.
