On Tuesday, April 28, eleven new members were inducted into Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society. This year, due to the pandemic, the ceremony was held remotely. Honor society advisor, Prof. Angela DeLutis-Eichenberger conducted the online ceremony. As part of the induction ceremony each student received a red candle that was then lit and later extinguished – all done virtually, of course. Both actions carry a symbolic meaning. The inductees were also awarded a certificate and pin bearing the royal seal of Fernando and Isabel.
Students inducted were:
Giuseppe Collia, Cailey Cummins, Madeline DeBoyce, Ryan Murphy, Eloise Nimoityn, Rachel Prince, Alana Richards, Ryan Showman, Julianne Siecinski, Kara Smith and Meredith Smith.
