Christopher Francese teaches Latin, Greek and Classical Studies at Dickinson College, and is project director of Dickinson College Commentaries. Active as a scholar, translator, and digital humanist, he has published books on Parthenius of Nicaea, and on the history of the Latin language. Sources in Roman Civilization, a collection of translated texts with introduction and notes, written with R. Scott Smith, will be published in March 2014 by Hackett Press. He has a strong interest in Latin pedagogy and teacher development, and directs a series of workshops for Latin teachers, the Dickinson Latin Workshop. He produces an occasional series of recordings of short Latin passages discussed, translated, and read aloud, the Latin Poetry Podcast.
