The Carlisle Indian School Digital Resource Center is one of the newest and most ambitious primary source collections ever undertaken at Dickinson College. The project, led by co-directors Jim Gerencser, Susan Rose and Malinda Triller, aims to develop a comprehensive searchable database of the Indian School that was located at the former Carlisle army barracks from 1879 to 1918. As of 2015, the project has digitized over 5,000 student files from the estimated 10,000 students who attended the controversial boarding school.
